Cylindrical Grinding

When grinding cylindrical parts such as rods, pipes or shafts, we offer the following services:

  • Centerless grinding: We can handle materials with outer diameters up to 2”. Additionally, we can produce complex and detailed shapes on our centerless ground components.
  • Internal diameter (ID) grinding: We can ID grind pieces with internal diameters ranging from .0625” to 12”.
  • Outer diameter (OD) grinding: We can grind cylindrical components with outer diameters ranging from .020” to 12”. For larger diameters, our OD grinders can handle lengths up to 36”.

Jig Grinding

  • Hole and contour grinding: Leech’s Jig grinders can accurately grind holes and intricate contours, achieving specific tolerances and surface finishes.
  • Great complexity: We can perform Jig grinding capabilities to produce complex parts, with surface finishes up to four microns and tolerance capabilities of .00005”.
  • Concave grinding abilities: Our Jig equipment can grind concave and inwardly curved surfaces with exceptional precision and accuracy. These features can be difficult to achieve with alternative machining processes.

Surface Grinding

  • Custom tooling and fixturing: As a tool and die company, we have the in-house capabilities to make our own custom fixturing and tools. This offers us the ability to tailor our tooling to our components’ unique shapes, sizes and complexities.
